一、項(xiàng)目介紹
我校與北卡羅來納州立大學(xué)于2010年3月簽訂協(xié)議，于每年暑假在工程、物理、生物、環(huán)境等學(xué)科合作開展暑期研究實(shí)踐項(xiàng)目。參加項(xiàng)目的學(xué)生到美國北卡羅來納州立大學(xué)相關(guān)專業(yè)實(shí)驗(yàn)室，在老師指導(dǎo)下進(jìn)行研究與實(shí)踐工作。
二、學(xué)校介紹
北卡羅來納州立大學(xué)（North Carolina State University）成立于1887年，與北卡大學(xué)教堂山分校以及杜克大學(xué)是北卡科研三角區(qū)的三所支柱院校。北卡羅來納州立大學(xué)擁有超過500項(xiàng)的技術(shù)專利，在專利技術(shù)力量上排名全美第3位；學(xué)校來自產(chǎn)業(yè)界的研究資助，排名全美第7位；在公立研究型大學(xué)中，非政府資助研究經(jīng)費(fèi)，排名全美第12位。在2014《美國新聞與世界報(bào)道》美國綜合大學(xué)排名中名列第106位。
三、報(bào)名條件及要求
1.我校大學(xué)三年級(jí)本科生、大學(xué)四年級(jí)保送研究生同學(xué)和全日制研究生，大學(xué)二年級(jí)相當(dāng)優(yōu)秀者也可考慮；有相關(guān)項(xiàng)目工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)者優(yōu)先。
2.GPA3.5，具有良好的英語水平和口語交流能力。
3.TOEFL:80 or higher(At least 20 in each section of listening, writing, reading and speaking)；IELTS: 6.5 or higher
4.有意報(bào)名的學(xué)生須到NCSU網(wǎng)站（
http://oia.ncsu.edu/gear）了解有關(guān)項(xiàng)目的詳細(xì)情況，參加報(bào)名的學(xué)生應(yīng)當(dāng)為NCSU所列研究實(shí)踐項(xiàng)目相關(guān)專業(yè)的學(xué)生。
四、項(xiàng)目時(shí)間：2015年7月8日-8月9日
五、項(xiàng)目費(fèi)用：約3,200美元。包括項(xiàng)目費(fèi)、住宿費(fèi)。
六、報(bào)名方法及時(shí)間安排
2.參加項(xiàng)目的同學(xué)需在管理系統(tǒng)中生成“學(xué)生短期境外學(xué)習(xí)或活動(dòng)備案表”，由輔導(dǎo)員及專業(yè)學(xué)院教學(xué)院長簽字（良鄉(xiāng)校區(qū)宇航、機(jī)電、機(jī)械、光電、信息、自動(dòng)化、計(jì)算機(jī)、軟件、材料、化工、生命學(xué)院學(xué)生可由基礎(chǔ)教育學(xué)院副院長簽字）后在系統(tǒng)中上傳PDF版。
3.準(zhǔn)備以下項(xiàng)目申請(qǐng)材料并掃描成PDF格式文件，報(bào)名時(shí)需上傳到報(bào)名系統(tǒng)：
（1）First Page of Passport
（2）Resume in English (one page)
（3）Academic Records in English
（4）Proof of English Proficiency
（5）Personal Statement (two page limit). Please indicate your research interest, explain why you have chosen a particular field of research and demonstrate your academic background related to the chosen research area, list extracurricular actives and any leadership or volunteer experiences. In this statement do not include the names of faculty you wish to study under.
（6）List TWO faculty from the pre-approved list that match your research interests.
NOTE: We do not allow applicants to contact faculty directly in the beginning. Anyone who breaks the rule will be eliminated from the program automatically. Once students are accepted and the Program Coordinator has opened communication, then students can contact faculty.
