報告題目:Sensing-as-a-Service: Vision, System and Applications(感知即服務(wù):視野,、系統(tǒng)和應(yīng)用)
報告摘要:
Sensors on (or attached to) mobile phones can enable attractive sensing applications in different domains such as environmental monitoring, social networking, healthcare, etc. In this talk, I will introduce a new concept, Sensing-as-a-Service, i.e., providing sensing services using mobile phones via a cloud computing system. A Sensing-as-a-Service cloud should meet the following requirements: 1) It must be able to support various mobile phone sensing applications. 2) It must be able to support different (embedded or external) sensors. 3) It must be energy-efficient. 4) It must have effective incentive mechanisms that can be used to attract mobile users to participate in sensing activities. First, I will identify unique challenges of designing and implementing a Sensing-as-a-Service cloud and review existing systems and methods. Then I will present design of our unified cloud computing system for mobile phone sensing and demonstrate it using the objective ranking application. In addition, future research directions will be discussed.

唐建博士現(xiàn)任美國Syracuse University 電子電氣工程和計算機系副教授。他于2006年在美國亞利桑那州立大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位,。目前的研究興趣包括:云計算,、大數(shù)據(jù)、和無線網(wǎng)絡(luò),。唐教授已經(jīng)發(fā)表70余篇高水平期刊和會議論文,,并于2009年獲得了美國國家自然基金會NSF CAREER award。唐教授目前是IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology,、IEEE Internet of Things Journal 副主編,,曾是IEEE ICC'2014、IEEE Globecom'2010, ICNC'2012 and ICNC'2013大會主席, 也是IEEE INFOCOM 2010-2013, ICC 2006-2012 and Globecom 2006-2012程序委員會委員,。
